- There are only two logical conclusions. The first is that God, if she exists, is not something or someone that is involved in our lives at any level. - I find it amazing that the electorate has such a short memory. We had 8 years of the neo-cons running the country over the cliff economically. I am impressed that we have made it back so far so fast...even with the GOP congress doing everything they can to undermine the recovery.

- She did what the doctor told her to do. I would not attach a bunch of pop psychology to her actions (transferrance, body image, etc). Not wanting her daughter to end up like her is not a bad thing. Like all parents, we have our children's best interests at heart and do the best we can.
